Just in between: Another workshop for a good cause, this time in the picturesque town of Rheinberg. Takin' it to the precincts.

Und noch etwas für zwischendurch: Mal wieder ein Workshop für den guten Zweck. Und es hat mal wieder viel Spaß gemacht.

The opening ceremony of the paint job we did for this sports club couple o' weeks ago.
Marching Band? Check. Confused sport club officials? Check. High ranking local politician? Check.
The Pleasure Boys, totally hung over? Check. (Final wall here.)

Feierliche Eröffnung, wie hier schon einmal angedeutet, auch schon wieder zwei Wochen her. Mit allem was dazu gehört: Uff-ta-ta in Spitzen-Uniformen. Chaotische Veranstalter. Bratwürste. Lokalpolitik.
Hinten übrigens auch noch ansatzweise zu sehen: Die "Verhüllung", die wir dann gemeinsam mit Herrn Elbers abnehmen durften. So fest dran geschraubt, dass sie fast gar nicht runter kam. Alles in allem: Denkwürdig und äußerst surreal. (Die fertige Wand übrigens hier.)

We're starting a new little series. This is actually the first graffiti paint job that one of us ever did. Not the first piece, but the first job. Pleasure P painted this in 1993 with EISODUR cans.

We put this poster out last spring already, we just never got around to taking a proper picture. Thanks for holding it up, Kira!

Poster ist schon ein halbes Jahr alt, Foto ist neu und lässt sich auch hier betrachten.

And the winner is...?

Yours truly. But honestly: The applause for our opponents sounded at least equally loud as the one for us. Whatever. The volume-o-meter made his imperturbable judgement in our favour. It was fun anyway.

War allerdings eine ganz knappe Sache. Bei der Publikumsentscheidung hat sich der Applaus/Jubel/Lärm für unsere Gegner mindestens so laut angehört wie der für uns. Aber das Lautstärkenmessgerät hat sein wohl unbestechliches Urteil gefällt.

To top-off this really boring last week we painted live at just another industry-sponsored party, this time at Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf. Sub-culture sellout for real, at its best, thanks for the applause!

Wir hatten ja letzte Woche noch nicht genug zu tun, deshalb am Freitag noch eine kleine Show-Einlage vorm Tanzhaus NRW. Schon erwähnt? Wir sind übrigens allesamt Nichtraucher. Lucky us.

We were pretty athletic this week and started our marathon with painting the front of this sports club. Opening cerenomy with the city's mayor tomorrow. Witness the fitness!

Mit einer gehörigen Portion Teamgeist haben wir die Fassade vom Vereinsheim des Düsseldorfer Turnvereins von 1847 e.V. aus ihrer gelben Tristesse geholt und zu neuem Leben erweckt.
Morgen, Samstag, 12. September, 13:00 Uhr ist die feierliche Enthüllung der Wand und Neueröffnung der Sportanlagen. Special guest: Oberbürgermeister Dirk Elbers.

Party hoppin'...

Right after celebrating the grand re-opening of the SUPREME Graffiti Shop together with a huge crowd in Düsseldorf we headed to Essen for a little live painting performance at a company-sponsored party in the Goethe Bunker. Saturday nights - get busy.

Erst die Tassen hoch bei der proppevollen Neueröffnung des SUPREME Graffiti-Shop, dann ab nach Essen für eine kleine Live-Performance auf einer Party im Goethe Bunker. Dort wurden ebenfalls viele Tassen erhoben. Erwähnten wir bereits die Tassen?

The No. 1 Graffiti-Shop in Düsseldorf is celebrating his re-opening.

Wie bereits hier angedeutet: SUPREME Graffiti macht gemeinsame Sache mit der DRUCKBAR.
Ab dem 1. September in der Ackerstraße 191 in Düsseldorf-Flingern.

Und die Jungs laden herzlich ein zur Eröffnungsfeier: Am Samstag, den 29.08.09, ab 18:00 Uhr. Pflichttermin! Wir freuen uns riesig auf den neuen Laden.
